Executive project, winner of the public contract competition called by "Regione Lombardia", for the complete refurbishment of the M&E Plants in its head office.

During the summer season, water raising from the underground water-table provides for :

  •   pre-cooling of fresh air (energy saving estimated at 50% of the frigorific load due to the primary air handling)

  •   condensation heat disposal from central refrigeration units and room self-contained air-conditioning units (summer rate).

The use of underground water allows lower condensation temperatures than in traditional tower water units, improving the energy efficiency of the machines and considerably reducing the electrical power input at the same frigorific power output, achieving a further 10% of energy saving of the total frigorific load.

In winter, the room air-conditioning units reverse their cycle to become heat-pumps and, using the water from the underground water-table as a "heat source", they supply heating to the building with a very high energy efficiency.
