EX-GALBANI SKYSCRAPER - "IL GALBANINO"

Detail Design and Site Supervision of M&E Plants for the refurbishment and customisation of the ex-Galbani skyscraper (aka "il Galbanino").

The building, realised in the early '60s, has an internal height and a ceiling structure (NERVI project) neither sufficient nor compatible with the installation of false ceilings and traditional plants.

So the existing systems on the building perimeter were removed, for a depth of 0,6m, and a static chilled-beams system was realised.

The beams are housed into the "Nervi's Structural Waves", opportunely alternated with light fixtures, so the structural ceiling has been given back to the sight of internal users and pedestrians, allowing to appreciate the unique technical solution from the Fabio Filzi street.

The intervention has furthermore allowed to entirely open the new facade, also in its low portion previously covered by the old systems giving the ambients light and transparency.
